Gert Buiten

Gert Buiten is project partner of POPNET and senior researcher at Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and has over thirty years of experience in developing and producing social and economic official statistics. Currently, he is one of the leads of Statistics Netherlands’ research program for translating insights from Complexity Science into official statistics. In that area, his focus is on network reconstruction and analysis and on Agent Based Modeling, in both cases as a basis for policy research. Much of this work is carried out in close collaboration with academia.
